Sri Lanka, March 17 -- The Sri Lankan economy displayed signs of resilience as it recorded a growth of 4.5% in the fourth quarter of 2023, according to the National Accounts Estimates published by the Department of Census and Statistics. This positive growth limited the annual contraction for the year 2023 to 2.3%, showcasing a gradual recovery.

Sri Lanka economy was experienced some kind of duality in 2023 since the first half of the year the economy was recorded negative growth while rest of the half, the economy bounced back to report a positive growth.
