Govt spent Rs.139 Mn to build houses for 223 Easter victim families
Sri Lanka, May 1 -- Urban Development and Housing Minister Prasanna Ranatunga said that houses have been built and handed over to 223 families of the victims of the Easter Sunday attack.
The Government has spent Rs.139 million to build these 223 houses.
The Minister also said that the construction of 11 more houses has already started.
Under this project, the largest number of families of victims has been given houses in the vicinity of Katuwapitiya Church in Gampaha. Rs. 90.855 million has been spent for the construction of houses for 144 families of victims living in the vicinity of Katuwapitiya Church.
