Uganda, March 14 -- The Victoria Pearls have fallen short of returning to Uganda with a medal. Despite being pre-tournament favorites to secure one of the three medals at stake as cricket made a debut at the 13th African Games in Accra, Ghana, things didn't go as planned.

In the bronze medal match, Uganda suffered a significant setback with a three-wicket loss to the lower-ranked Nigeria. Nigeria secured victory with four balls to spare after restricting the East Africans to a total of 76 for 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
