Sri Lanka, April 28 -- Minneriya, April 28 () - The 17-year-old girl who was injured in a shooting incident at Girithale in Minneriya recently, died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Minneriya Police initiated an investigation upon receiving information that the girl had been injured and subsequently she was admitted to the Polonnaruwa Hospital.
Investigations revealed that the shooting had occurred while the girl was visiting her relative's house with her family members.
It was revealed that her ex-boyfriend had carried out the shooting.
The suspect was arrested while fleeing after the shooting. He was later remanded till May 2.
