India, April 7 -- With the release of the new Urban Cruiser Taisor, Toyota Kirloskar Motor announced its foray into the sub-4 metre crossover/SUV market. The brand has launched the model at a starting price of Rs 7.74 lakh (ex-showroom). As it is a derivative of the Fronx, the Taisor comes as the fourth rebadged Toyota product to be based on a Maruti Suzuki model. Both the cars are powered by the same engine options. These include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine that produces 88.5bhp of maximum power and 113Nm of torque, as well as the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit that delivers 99bhp and 147.6Nm of torque.
