Jakarta, March 8 -- Chairman of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) Raja Sapta Oktohari is confident that two Indonesian rock climbing sports athletes competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics have a strong chance of clinching gold.

"Two athletes for speed climbing, God willing, one a man and (the other a) woman, both have a great chance to win gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics," Oktohari stated in the 2024 NOC Members Meeting and Extraordinary Congress here on Friday.

Two rock climbing athletes who will take part in the Paris Olympics include Desak Maderita Kusuma Dewi, who earlier won gold in the women's speed at the IFSC rock climbing in Bern, Switzerland, in August 2023.
