Chennai, Aug. 9 -- A Special Court in Chennai trying cases against MPs and MLAs has framed charges against Former DMK Minister Ma.Subramanian in the case pertaining to alleged transfer of a housing plot belonging to the State-owned Small Industries Development Corporation (SIDCO), in the name of his wife using fake documents, setting in motion the process of commencement of trial.
The charges were also framed against the former Greater Chennai Corporation Mayor and Health Minister's wife Kanchana in connection with the case.
When the case came up for hearing before Special Court Judge C Sanjay Babu for framing of charges last evening, both Subramanian and his wife, appeared before the Court.
