Cardiff, July 16 -- Virat Kohli steadied India's innings with a fluent half-century and found an able ally in Shreyas Iyer, but England's pace attack mounted a fierce late comeback to bowl the visitors out for 233 in 44 overs in the second One-Day International at Sophia Gardens here on Thursday.
After England elected to field, Shubman Gill gave India early momentum with a brisk 31 off 30 balls before Gus Atkinson produced a sharp return catch from Ben Duckett at cover to end the opening stand.
Rohit Sharma, dropped by Atkinson in the third over, never found his rhythm despite the reprieve and made 26 before mistiming a sweep off Will Jacks to wicketkeeper Jos Buttler.
