NEW DELHI, Jan. 30 -- In a governing body meeting with Unified Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure (Planning & Engineering) Center (UTTIPEC), Lieutenant Governor and Delhi Development vice-chairman Anil Baijal asked to implement Multi-Modal Integration (MMI) plans at metro stations to ensure seamless transition of commuters between various modes.
Notably, UTTIPEC has approved conceptual Multi-Modal Integration (MMI) plans for 60 DMRC Phase-III metro stations and 10 MMI plans for existing metro stations (Phase I and Phase II) during last 4 years.
According to DDA official, MMI is planning of the immediate zone around metro stations to integrate Inter State Bus Terminals, Local Bus Stand, feeder buses and IPT Modes, wherever feasible ...
