Rabat, Jan. 21 -- The US Meat Export Federation (USMEF) is inspecting the Moroccan market after the Moroccan government decided to allow US beef imports.

According to Feedstuffs , US export companies are already starting to explore the market.

The USMEF representative in Africa, Monty Brown, visited Morocco in mid-December to meet with various companies in the Moroccan beef market.

"We had meetings in Casablanca and Rabat with seven different companies, and the initial reaction from the majority of the buyers is that they are very interested in U.S. beef," the representative said.
