GUWAHATI, Jan. 21 -- As part of its multimedia campaign on HIV/AIDS, the Assam State AIDS Control Society organised a Western Rock Band Competition on HIV/AIDS awareness at the State Institute of Health and Family Welfare at Khanapara here.
Four rock bands ' Bottle Rockets, Battle Symphony, Existence After Trestle and Tyrrhenian ' took part in the finals held on Sunday.
Tyrrhenian won the competition while Bottle Rockets and Existence After Trestle were adjudged first and second runners-up respectively. The winner got Rs 15,000 in cash and certificates. The first runner-up and second runner-up received Rs 12,000 and Rs 10, 000 respectively, besides certificates.
