Florida, May 2 -- US President Donald Trump on Friday announced an "immediate takeover of Cuba," suggesting that the United States could send naval forces toward the Caribbean nation after having "finished with Iran."He made these remarks during a public event in Florida after signing an executive order expanding sanctions against the Cuban government and its affiliates.
"There's this place called Cuba which we will be taking over almost immediately. Cuba's got problems. We'll finish one first. I like to finish one first," Trump said, drawing laughter from the audience.
