Agartala, May 24 -- Following reports of a significant outbreak of Measles-Rubella in the neighbouring villages of Bangladesh, Unakoti district administration in Tripura has implemented enhanced surveillance strategies to address the situation.
District Magistrate Megha Jain announced the launch of a specific vaccination initiative aimed at ensuring all children under the age of 10 receive the Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccine. However, she said that the overall condition is currently stable and well-managed.
The District Magistrate emphasised that, due to the situation in Bangladesh and the proximity of the border, the administration is adopting a cautious approach. She noted that some children remain unvaccinated.
