Bhubaneswar, May 24 -- The Jharsuguda Special Pocso Court has convicted and sentenced a stepfather to life imprisonment for raping a minor girl for a long period.
Adjudicating the case, the Court sentenced Ranjit Mishra, the accused stepfather, to Life Imprisonment, the Police said.
According to the prosecution, a minor girl in a written complaint filed in Jharsuguda Police Station in 2024 alleged that her stepfather, threatening to murder her, and had been raping her for a long period.
