Bhubaneswar, May 24 -- With major parts of the State continuing to reel under sizzling heatwave, the State's Works Department has directed that labourers must not be engaged in outdoor work between 11 am and 3 pm.
Amid reports of labourers toiling under the scorching sun, the department issued the directive today asking the Engineer-in-Chief (EIC) of the Works Department, Chief Construction Engineers and Superintending Engineers of various zones for strict enforcement of the order at construction sites.
