Bhopal, May 24 -- A tiger attacked and killed a woman and injured four others in a village near the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve (BTR) in Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh in the wee hours today.
Following the incident, irate villagers allegedly assaulted a team of forest officials, resulting in serious injuries to a Forest Ranger while a female staffer was also injured.
Tragically, the tiger which reportedly attacked the villagers also died after the Forest department officials located it nearby and tranquilized it, to rescue the feline.
The incident occurred around 3 am at Kherwa Tola locality in Panpatha village near the tiger reserve,According to BTR Deputy Director Anupam Sahay, the tiger killed a woman and injured three to four person...
