Srinagar, May 20 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday intensified its anti-narcotics campaign under the ongoing "Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan" by introducing GPS-based monitoring of a bailed-out accused, demolishing an alleged narcotics-linked property in Srinagar and initiating administrative action against persons involved in drug-related cases.
In Anantnag, police installed a GPS-enabled tracking anklet on an accused booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act after he was granted bail by a court.
Police said the device was affixed on Aejaz Ahmad Tantray of Kapran Verinag, presently residing at Prakeshpora Anchidoora in Anantnag, in compliance with directions of the court to ensure continuous moni...
