Hyderabad, May 24 -- Hyderabad and Cyberabad Traffic Police booked more than 700 drunk driving cases during special enforcement drives conducted over the weekend to improve road safety and curb drunken driving violations.
According to the Hyderabad Traffic Police release on Sunday, a two-day special drive conducted on May 22 and 23 resulted in 438 motorists being caught driving under the influence of alcohol. Of them, 365 were two-wheeler riders, 25 were three-wheeler drivers, 47 were four-wheeler drivers and one belonged to another vehicle category.
Police said 98 offenders recorded Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) levels between 30 and 50 mg/100 ml, while 191 cases were between 51 and 100 mg/100 ml. Several others recorded higher BAC l...
