India, June 9 -- The opening fixture of the Australia tour of Bangladesh 2026 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium has kicked off today, Tuesday, June 9. Choosing to bat first, Bangladesh managed to post a total of 284/8, courtesy of an impressive unbeaten 86 from Mosaddek Hossain and a solid 54 by Tanzid Hasan. However, the first innings was heavily disrupted by passing showers, forcing players off the field and delaying match proceedings. While the drainage system at Mirpur did its job to allow the completion of the 50 overs, a looming dark sky has left both camps on edge. As Australia start their run chase, a question arises, will it rain again?
