ORISSA HIGH COURT ISSUES ORDER ON STATE OF ODISHA V/S SATYANANDA BADHEI AND ORS.

CUTTACK, India, May 19 -- Orissa High Court issued the following order on April 17:

1. The present CRLLP has been filed by the State of Orissa seeking leave to appeal against the judgment dated 21.12.2006 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Bargarh, whereby the respondents were acquitted of the offence under Section 307 read with Section 149 of the IPC, thereby reversing the conviction recorded by the learned Assistant Sessions Judge, Bargarh vide judgment dated 23.12.1994.
