Goa, May 24 -- Heavy tourist activity was witnessed at Calangute Beach despite slightly rough sea conditions following recent rainfall in Goa. Large numbers of tourists and local residents gathered along the shoreline throughout the day, even as waves remained stronger than usual after the rains. Lifeguards stationed at the beach stayed on high alert and closely monitored visitors entering the sea to prevent any untoward incidents. Authorities and beach safety personnel continued issuing warnings and advising tourists to remain cautious while swimming or venturing into deeper waters.
