Pakistan, June 9 -- The National Assembly and Senate sessions have been summoned for Wednesday as the government prepares to present the federal budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year, which is expected to be unveiled on June 12.

President Asif Ali Zardari convened the sessions of both houses of parliament on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. According to official notifications, the Senate session will begin at 4:00pm, while the National Assembly will meet at 5:00pm.
