Water Resource Minister of IGAD Member Countries Arrive in Jigjiga
Ethiopia, May 7 -- Addis Ababa, May 7, 2024(Addis Ababa) Water ministers of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) member countries have arrived in Jigjiga, Somali Region of Ethiopia to take part in a forum organized to discuss the transboundary surface water resources in the region.
Chief Administrator of Somali Region, Mustefe Mohamed warmly welcomed the ministers on arrival at Jigjiga airport today.
Representatives of international organizations including UNICEF and the World Bank are expected to participate in the meeting that will be held in the Shbele district of the Somali region.
The officials are expected to visit water development projects in the region including a multi-village drought-resistant drinking water...
