Tashkent, April 8 -- Tashkent has the lowest school attendance rate in Uzbekistan, the Institute for Macroeconomic and Regional Research reports. The average attendance rate in the country decreased from 82.5% last year to 83.8% in 2022.

In terms of regions, Tashkent, Jizzakh, and Fergana regions have the lowest attendance rates, with Tashkent having the lowest at 57.8%. On the other hand, Bukhara, Surkhandarya, and Kashkadarya have the highest attendance rates, with Bukhara having the highest at 89.1%.
