Tashkent, April 6 -- Self-employed individuals in Uzbekistan can now access unsecured loans up to 100 million soums through the family entrepreneurship program. Starting from April 1, 2024, self-employed people will be eligible for loans under this program, with 33 million soums initially and additional 50 million soums after one year if the business is effective.

Loans may be provided in cash for certain purposes, such as purchasing livestock and establishing businesses on homestead lands. The maximum loan amount without collateral is 50 million soums for owners of homestead lands exceeding 10 hectares, and up to 100 million soums for activities like setting up compact greenhouses or fish farming.
