Brief Summary: Status epilepticus (SE) is an emergency, life-threatening medical condition that may cause irreversible cerebral damage. Therefore, the rapid and secure cessation of seizures and resuscitation is crucial. Potent gamma-aminobutyric acid agonists, including benzodiazepines, are recommended as first-line treatments.
