U.S, March 27 -- The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) has announced the implementation of the electronic toll collection (ETC) system at five major airports across the country, set to commence from May 5.

Initially piloted at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi and Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City, the ETC system will now be extended to three additional airports, including Cat Bi in Hai Phong city, Phu Bai in Thua Thien-Hue province, and Da Nang city.

To alleviate traffic congestion, the ACV plans to install the ETC system at the T3 terminal of Tan Son Nhat Airport and the expanded T2 terminal of Noi Bai Airport, both currently under construction.
