Mumbai, April 27 -- Vidharbha and Marathwada eight constituencies registered an average polling rate of 59.63 percent, down by 3.17 percent from their last election in 2019, an official source from the elections department said here Saturday.
Around 62.80 percent were recorded in the last 2019 LS election.
According to election commission sources, after collecting all the EVMs late last night in the respective constituencies, the final percentage has been worked out. All the EVMs in these constituencies were kept in a strong room in the presence of all the political party representatives in their respective constituencies, with tight security.
