San Francisco, Feb. 24 -- Eight men were killed in a head-on collision in Madera County, California, CBS News reported.

According to the report, a collision involving a Chevrolet pickup and a GMC van early Friday morning on Avenue 7 west of Road 22 in a rural area of Madera County resulted in the deaths of seven passengers in the van and the sole occupant and driver of the Chevrolet.

However, one man from the GMC van was hospitalized with his condition remaining unknown, the report said.

The report added that Avenue 7 west of Road 22, and Road 21 will be closed for investigation. UNI/SPUTNIK AKS
