Apollo Tyres and NATRAX Collaborate to Develop Cut and Chip Test Track for Electric Vehicles
Mumbai, April 30 -- Apollo Tyres has entered into a strategic partnership with NATRAX to establish India's first test track dedicated to validating tyres for Electric Vehicles (EVs) and low rolling resistance tyres.
This unique collaboration is aimed at offering EV manufacturers a specialised testing facility to assess and validate the cut and chip resistance of tyres. The need to evaluate cut and chip resistance is needed for EVs due to their characteristics, such as regenerative braking and high-speed acceleration. This facility will also assess the cut and chip resistance of fuel-efficient tyres as part of the 'Star label program'.
