Dhaka, May 7 -- The Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of the ruling party Awami League, organised a massive rally countrywide in solidarity with the ongoing student movement worldwide in support of the people of Gaza and to demand the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
Some thousands of leaders and activities of the organisation come from different universities, colleges, and schools in the capital. They marched out of the Madhur Canteen of Dhaka University (DU) carrying flags of Palestine, banners, and placards and came to the main venue of the demonstration at the Raju Scrupture Memorial.
