Dhaka, May 7 -- A large quantity of fake Akiz bidis with huge fake bandrolls and various materials for making bidis have been seized in a raid in Tolatlipara village of Teredia in Daulatpur upazila of Kushtia . Kushtia Customs, Excise and VAT Bheramara raided circle-2 around 2.30 pm on Sunday.
According to sources of Customs, Excise and VAT Department, an unscrupulous gang has been illegally producing beedis by putting fake bandrolls in different places of Kushtia district for a long time by evading huge amount of government revenue.
