Dhaka, April 6 -- A mobile court conducted by SM Tarek Sultan, UNO and Executive Magistrate of Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat district convicted two drug addicted persons and sentenced them to suffer simple imprisonment for 2 months and to pay a fine of Tk. 1 hundred each in default to suffer another imprisonment for 5 days more on the charge of taking and possessing drugs on Monday, according to a delayed report received here.
The convicted persons are Azad Pahlan (40), son of one Majnu Pahlan of village Saralia and Zihad Shaikh (25), son of one Maharaj Shaikh of village Uttar Bhaizora under the same Upazila. After the conviction the convicted were handed over to the police.
