Srinagar, Feb. 7 -- As per reports, the region has witnessed over 20,000 arrivals in six days. The numbers include 15,086 domestic visitors, 4,290 locals and 156 foreigners. Earlier, the hotels in the Ski resort had seen 60% of their bookings get cancelled.

Skiers, who had been in a pale of gloom since a prolonged dry spell threatened to derail their Gulmarg adventures, are now gleefully plying the snow covered slopes of the resort.

"Gulmarg is back in action and so are we," a group of skiers said, as per news agency KNO.

Waseem Ahmed, a ski trainer, said he and the other skiers were thrilled to see Gulmarg covered in white.
