Baramulla, April 6 -- Security forces on Friday morning thwarted an infiltration attempt by terrorists along the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir's Uri sector. Two intruders were killed and a cache of arms and ammunition was seized during the encounter.

According to officials, the terrorists attempted to infiltrate the Indian side of the border, which led to an exchange of fire with the JAK RIF forces. The forces effectively retaliated, resulting in the elimination of two infiltrators.

Following the encounter, a thorough search operation was conducted in the area, which led to the recovery of warlike stores. Among the seized items were 2 AK series rifles, 4 grenades, and other ammunition.
