Dhaka, April 22 -- The metro rail once again faced operational trouble near Kazipara station while heading towards Motijheel on Monday afternoon.

However, MRT 6 General Manager of Operation M Iftekhar Hossain denied that operations were suspended due to the trouble, stating it lasted only two to three minutes before returning to normal.

He also declined to provide any reason, noting that such trouble is normal.

Passengers said the rail suddenly stopped after a jolt around 1.30 pm and could not be operated for around 10 minutes. Moreover, its doors could not be adjusted with the station doors when operation resumed.

Sources, however, said the fault was related to an electrical voltage fault.
