Tanzania, April 22 -- Dar es Salaam. Since the historic union of Tanganyika and Zanzibar in 1964, Dar es Salaam has stood as a testament to Tanzania's journey of transformation, evolving from a modest coastal town into a bustling economic capital that is surely on its way to becoming a megacity.
According to the population and housing census, the population of the Dar es Salaam metropolitan area in 2022 was 7,405,000, representing a 5.08 percent increase from 2021.
