New Delhi, April 29 -- Continuous rainfall in Ramban has triggered landslides along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, leading to its closure. The heavy downpour caused cracks in the mountains at various points along the highway, including Mehad, Kishtwadi Patthar, and Gangru Ramsu areas, necessitating a complete shutdown of the highway.

The landslides have resulted in the blocking of the highway, with large rocks falling from the mountains making the situation more challenging. Authorities have been working since 5 am to clear the debris and stones to reopen the highway for traffic.
