India, Jan. 23 -- The Deputy Commissioner (DC) XI won the one-day Friendly Cricket Tournament held at Firing Range Grounds at the foot of Chamundi Hill here recently.

The DC's team defeated the City Police Commissioner's (PC) team by 10 runs in the final match. The DC XI, which batted first after winning the toss, scored 128 runs for the loss of two wickets in the stipulated 10 overs. The Police Commissioner's

XI, chasing a target of 129 runs to win, could muster only 119 runs for the loss of 4 wickets losing the match by 10 runs.
