Bhubaneswar, May 1 -- Ahead of the twin polls in Odisha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Nabarangpur on May 7, BJP sources said.

Modi will address a public meeting in Nabarangpur and conduct a roadshow. BJP's Lok Sabha candidates for Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Koraput, and Berhampur, and candidates for 21 Assembly constituencies will be present at the public meeting, sources said.

The party has planned to gather around 1 lakh people for the public meeting.

Modi's visit to the state assumes significance as he had recently said in an interview that self-identity of Odisha is in danger.
