KATHMANDU, Feb. 18 -- One person died and seven others were injured in a jeep accident in Ambukhaireni Rural Municipality-2 Narighat under Prithvi Highway.of Tanahun.

DSP Mohan Bahadur Khand at the District Police Office, Tanahun, said that Sagar Gurung, 22, of Ichchakamana Rural Municipality-6 of Chitwan, died last night when the Bolero jeep (Ba 16 Cha 4918), which was en route to Ambukhaireni from Dumre, lost control and overturned on the roadside. Gurung died during treatment at the old medical college in Chitwan.

Six of the injured are from Chitwan and one from Gorkha.
