KATHMANDU, April 25 -- Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday shed 3.24 points to close at 1,965.93 points.

The secondary market opened at 1,969.17 points and went through a series of fluctuations to reach the day's high at 1,974.89 points in over two hours of trading. The index then declined successively and reached the day's low at 1,961.54 points in the last five minutes. The market recovered around four points in the remaining period before the market closed for the day.

The sensitive index that measures the performance of 'A' class companies also increased 0.37 points. The daily turnover inclined to Rs 2.36 billion from Rs 2.53 billion on Wednesday.

Among the five gainers, finance achieved the highest gain of 62.53 points. Life ...
