KATHMANDU, Feb. 4 -- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has extended the deadline by seven days for additional applications for the position of Executive Director at the Institute of Foreign Affairs (IFA). Sources said the deadline was extended as sufficient applications were not received.

According to MoFA sources, only five candidates have applied in response to previous notice and only one of them was found to have fulfilled the minimum qualification.

The notice has been issued for the second time as per the decision of the meeting of the Selection and Recommendation Committee meeting formed for the appointment of the IFA Executive Director.

There is a provision in the procedure that at least three people should be recommended. ...
