KATHMANDU, Feb. 13 -- The International Monetary Fund (IMF) team has returned after visiting Nepal. A team led by Tidiane Kinda of the IMF was in Kathmandu from February 5 to 12 to discuss Nepal's economic development and aid programs.

Concluding the visit, Kinda said that the impact of recession is diminishing in Nepal and the external sector is strengthening due to low imports along with remittances and increasing tourism activity. Similarly, he said that the increase in internal revenue mobilization and the implementation of capital expenditure will ensure financial sustainability and help in economic growth.
