MYAGDI, March 21 -- The Gorkha Welfare Trust said it has constructed 2,380 drinking water schemes in 51 districts of the country including Myagdi.

At a workshop held at Annapurna rural municipality-2, Bhurung Tatopani in Myagdi on Wednesday, Trust's Executive Director Deepak Kumar Shrestha shared over 61,000 taps were installed for smooth distribution of drinking water.

He claimed that around three percent of the total population of Nepal living in rural areas have access to drinking water with the financial assistance of the trust.

"A total of 2,380 drinking water schemes have been constructed in 51 districts," he said, adding 61,634 taps and 431 toilets have been constructed in different parts.
