KATHMANDU, Feb. 29 -- The government has filed cases of revenue evasion worth Rs 1.62 billion in the first seven months of the current fiscal year.

During the review period, the Department of Revenue Investigation (DRI) filed 25 cases.

Nawa Raj Dhungana, Director General of DRI, stated that the DRI has filed cases against 45 defendants, claiming the evasion of revenue worth Rs 1.62 billion.

The DRI has identified cases of revenue evasion of various nature, including evasion through digital currency, crypto currency and hundi transactions.
