KANCHANPUR, April 15 -- Over the past nine months, the Kanchanpur police have taken action against 216 individuals, including 12 women, for drug addiction and trafficking offenses.

Chief of the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, Superintendent of Police Chakraraj Joshi said that 204 men and 12 women were arrested in the first nine months of the current fiscal year 2080-81.

The arrests involved the seizure of drugs such as hashish and brown sugar.

According to Joshi, nearly 300 grams of brown sugar and seven kilograms of hashish were recovered from the suspects.
