2024 passport rankings revealed: France leads, Nepal holds 103rd position
KATHMANDU, Feb. 19 -- The Henley Passport Index has announced the global ranking of passports for the year 2024. France has topped the list, becoming the country with the most powerful passport.
According to the index, French citizens can now travel to 194 countries without needing a visa, making the French passport the most powerful in the world. Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore, and Spain also share the top spot, with their citizens enjoying visa-free access to 194 countries as well.
Nepal's passport ranks at the 103rd position, enabling its citizen's visa-free access to 40 countries worldwide. This position remains unchanged from 2023, with Nepal sharing its ranking with Libya and Palestine.
