New Delhi, Feb. 10 -- The Congress on Friday alleged that the Modi Government's white paper on the economy was a "white lie paper", and asserted that it should have come out with such a document on issues such as unemployment, demonetisation, border tensions and Manipur.

Former Union Minister and Congress Lok Sabha MP Manish Tewari called the White Paper brought by the government a "political manifesto", adding that the UPA enacted Acts like the Right to Information, Right to Education, Right to Food and MGNREGA that strengthened the social, political and economic foundation of the country.
