India, Feb. 26 -- Every election season, political parties can be seen letting loose a long litany of promises - some really genuine, but mostly mere pleasing-to-the-ears rhetoric. These campaign pledges, called poll manifestos or electoral promises or even 'jumlas', are tailormade to meet local voters' aspirations that season.
